This here is Harrison Wallace Playing his upright in Destin Florida.

In motion with with this photo it would be calando (in place of calcando). Which means in the stead of speeding up the tempo, it would be slowed down.

My brother sent me this via Google Reader, on it the editor talked about the mood of the photo being that which you could almost hear.

I've never really tried playing an upright bass, (the cello has the perfect combination of low notes, and high notes going higher than the violin) but it might be fun trying it some time.

A few weeks ago my teacher (when just tuning my cello), discovered a two inch hair-line crack, running with the grain of the wood, at the bottom of my cello. He said it was no big deal, I should just start step one of getting it fixed. Step one is telling your parents. After I finished that, my parents were supposed to eventually get it over to the Luthier. For anyone scrunching up their nose right now, a Luthier is someone who makes String instruments. And, yes, I only learned that a couple of days ago. This certain man is the same person we bought my cello from. And, his daughter was my first cello teacher. So over a process of about one to two months, we finally get the cello to him. He says that he's never had problems with this type cello maker before (he also buys instruments and sells them). My cello was made somewhere in China. So he says with all the other instruments he has to fix, it'll take a few days. Well, beggars cant't be choosers. He said because it looked like a crack that happened because of the dryness in the air. So therefore he said he wouldn't charge us (me, and my parents. Really my parents).

As of late (last night), I have been reading Do Hard Things. And I can not find out how to underline the name, so I'll just tell you that the first chapter is very good.

New music book

A few days ago I got the Lord of the Rings cello music. I really like playing In Dreams, Rohan, and Minas Tirith. The Fellowship of the ring comes with; The Prophecy, In Dreams, Concerning Hobbits, Many Meetings, and The Black Rider. The Two Towers comes with; Gollum's song, Rohan (a medley of The King of the Golden Hall and Riders of Rohan), Evenstar, and Forth Eorlingas. For The Return of the King; Steward of Gondor, Minas Tirith, and Into the West. All of the songs come with a piano accompaniment. And a CD to play along with.

They should do this for the Chronicles of Narnia music.

A couple of days ago Apple released the new iPod nano. No I did not get one, yet. It looks just like the Nano before, save a video camera on the back. (and a little bit larger screen) I assume it works just the same, save the ability to record both video, voice, and an FM raido. Here's a photo.

P.S. I just finished reading Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, good book!

Why do we like quoting movies? On this website I found it says we do it to amuse ourself or others, or to make our self feel important. But it's not really what I had in mind when I say 'what about second breakfast?'. I thought it just meant I'm still hungry. well there's the post.
